According to The Wall Street Journal [6], the super PAC, known as America PAC, was established last month to extend support to Trump and has garnered financial backing from Elon Musk’s circle of associates.
Among the backers are Palantir Technologies co-founder Joe Lonsdale, the Winklevoss twins [7], and former U.S. ambassador to Canada Kelly Craft and her husband, Joe, who heads coal producer Alliance Resource Partners.
The super PAC has channeled at least $6.6 million in efforts to endorse Trump, who recently secured the Republican nomination for the presidential race during the Republican National Convention.
Focused on bolstering voter registration and encouraging residents in swing states to cast early votes and request mail-in ballots, America PAC aims to counteract Democratic initiatives to mobilize voters in the months leading up to the pivotal November elections.
Musk, currently holding the title of the world’s wealthiest individual with an estimated fortune exceeding $250 billion, allegedly plans to make substantial monthly contributions of $45 million to America PAC in the lead-up to the elections.
Notably, the largest known donation of the 2024 election cycle hails from the great-grandson of banker Thomas Mellon, who pledged $50 million [8] to a pro-Trump super PAC.
As per a recent filing, America PAC recorded contributions amounting to $8.75 million for the three-month period ending on June 30, and Musk purportedly indicated his intent to initiate his contributions this month following the filing.
While the exact amount of Musk’s recent donation remains undisclosed, we previously reported that Musk made a ‘sizeable donation’ to the super PAC [9] last week.
Musk, who had previously voiced no intention to financially support either the Trump or Biden campaigns, has since expressed his full support for Trump, particularly following the assassination attempt on the former president during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania.
Musk conveyed, “I fully endorse President Trump and hope for his rapid recovery,” and made a comparison, stating, “Last time America had a candidate this tough was Theodore Roosevelt.”

Beyond his political involvements, Musk extended financial aid by donating $100,000 to a GoFundMe campaign sanctioned by Trump to assist the victims of the recent shooting incident at a rally. Corey Comperatore lost his life shielding his wife and daughter [12] from gunfire, while two others sustained injuries [13].
