For much of the 2024 Presidential Election campaign, Democrats have tried desperately to tie Donald Trump to Project 2025.

The Heritage Foundation’s roadmap for a second Trump presidency has little to do with the Republican candidate. In fact, persistent Democratic claims that the former president plans to implement Project 2025 upon a return to the White House have even forced CNN into fact-checking mode.

The Democrats continue to push the policy framework in fearmongering efforts to capture moderate voters despite knowing such claims Trump will implement it are false. It’s a key part of their campaign, particularly as Republicans spare little time to defend such dubious accusations.

Even then, the left is struggling to get it right. Left-wing MSNBC broadcaster Joy Reid accidentally shared Trump’s “current campaign website” which, as clear as day, showcased Agenda 47 – not Project 2025.

“What happened to the Platinum Plan?” Reid asked, as she continued to scroll through Trump’s policy ideas. “What I do see, however, is this; Donald Trump’s current plan which is, in his current website where he’s showing his policies he would implement in a second Trump term, [to] cut federal funding for any school pushing critical race theory, radical gender ideology, and other inappropriate racial, sexual, or political content on our children.”

She somehow didn’t realize that she was quoting Trump’s actual policy and not the Project 2025 policies she was trying to wrongly attribute to them. As many pointed out on social media, Reid is effectively advocating a vote for Trump given how much sense the policies she quoted from make.
