Kamala Harris and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz appeared together in Philadelphia, advocating for more gun control measures, including a controversial ban on what the Democratic Party labels as “assault weapons.”
The event marked their first joint appearance on the campaign trail.
Addressing the crowd, Harris, who has clinched the Democratic nomination for President (without receiving a single vote from actual voters!), stated, “I am officially the (Democrat) nominee for President of the United States.” The declaration was met with applause and support from those gathered.

In her speech, Harris also highlighted Walz’s stance on gun control. Despite being a gun owner, Walz supports more restrictive laws. “We need reasonable gun safety laws in America,” Harris quoted Walz as saying.

She outlined the joint agenda they plan to pursue if victorious in the upcoming November elections. Their focus will include implementing universal background checks, red flag laws, and an ambitious ban on ‘assault weapons.’
Walz, standing beside Harris, expressed his approval with applause as Harris laid out their policy plans.
His tenure as governor has already seen him take steps towards tightening gun laws in Minnesota, a point Harris emphasized to the crowd.
The joint appearance underscores a key platform of the Harris-Walz campaign, aiming to tighten gun regulations in a bid to address what they call ‘gun violence.’

PASS ON THAT
There is no such thing as “gun violence”. No gun ever jumped up by itself and went on a shooting rampage. What we have is a human violence problem.
Banning “assault weapons”? And what, exactly, is an assault weapon? If something, anything is used to violently assault another person, that thing is an assault weapon, whether it’s a gun, hammer, knife, or baseball bat. Chris Murphy and others are quick to label the AR15 a weapon of war, but no military on the planet uses them for that purpose. It looks scary so we have to ban it. They want to ban the AR15 because it is so ubiquitous and, with it, we are a threat to their power. “Fear the government that fears guns.”
After she takes the guns her next acts will follow in the footsteps of Chavez. The Venezuelans learned that Marxists can be voted into office but cannot be voted out because the Marxists control the vote count. They also learned that without guns dictators cannot be removed from office. If Harris (or any other Democrat) wins this election cycle Americans will learn the same lesson.
