Far-left “Squad” members Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rep. Jamal Bowman, and Rep. Ilhan Omar are now facing a class action lawsuit over their alleged role in inciting anti-Israel protests and encampments at Columbia University earlier this year.
Five brave students, who have chosen to remain anonymous, have filed the lawsuit highlighting the involvement of a dozen anti-Israel organizing groups.
The lawsuit describes the Gaza Encampment as a brazen display of extreme and illegal conduct that flagrantly violated university rules.
Left-wing “Squad” members, Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Jamaal Bowman, and Ilhan Omar, have been hit with a class-action lawsuit for “inciting and encouraging” the anti-Israeli protests and chaos at Columbia University, the New York Post reported.https://t.co/kuH1RbacCP pic.twitter.com/XGr0ebV2gV

It goes on to detail how Jewish students were subjected to harassment, physical obstruction, intimidation, and bullying by the encampment occupants. Even within this hostile environment, two of the students behind the lawsuit identified themselves as Jewish, shedding light on the anti-Semitic incidents they endured.
Speaking with The New York Post, one of the students, known as “Tim Doe,” bravely recounted the offensive and anti-Semitic signs that were brandished during the protests. He mentioned particularly disturbing skunk posters emblazoned with the Star of David. “In one instance,” he recalled, “I was walking with my non-Jewish friends when I was singled out because I was wearing my yarmulke. A leader of the pro-Palestinian protest approached our group and confronted me. He singled me out, yelling that I needed to move, and when I refused, he began to shove me out of the way.”

The encampment at Columbia University attracted global attention as students and even faculty members participated in a campus takeover that lasted for weeks.
The disruptive protests forced classes to move online and placed severe limitations on access to campus facilities just as students were preparing for their final exams.
Ultimately, Columbia University was compelled to cancel its graduation ceremony, causing significant disruption and frustration for the 36,000 students who abided by the university’s rules and simply sought to pursue their education.
The class action lawsuit highlights the real damages suffered by these law-abiding students.

It holds that the actions of their classmates, professors, and outside activists, with the support and encouragement of Ocasio-Cortez, Omar, and Bowman, impeded the educational progress of those who chose to respect the university’s guidelines and commit to their academic pursuits.
It is worth noting that during the height of the anti-Israel protests at Columbia University, Ocasio-Cortez, Omar, and Bowman voiced their support for these demonstrations.
If any kid is hurt tonight, responsibility will fall on the mayor and univ presidents.
Other leaders and schools have found a safe, de-escalatory path. This is the opposite of leadership and endangers public safety. A nightmare in the making.
I urge the Mayor to reverse course. https://t.co/52eAEfbJjq
