The location of the alleged crime is approximately seven miles from the home of Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of Today show host Savannah Guthrie, who disappeared from her residence during the early morning hours of Feb. 1.
Despite the geographic proximity, authorities have not indicated any connection between Smith and the ongoing investigation into Guthrie’s disappearance.
The sheriff’s department asked members of the public to remain alert and report any information regarding Smith’s whereabouts. Investigators have characterized Smith as a repeat offender with a lengthy criminal history in Pima County.
Court records show Smith has previously faced accusations involving kidnapping, assault, robbery, and disorderly conduct. Records further indicate she has served four separate prison terms.

Her prior convictions include robbery in 2011, disorderly conduct and attempted vehicle theft in 2014, robbery in 2019, criminal trespass in 2021, attempted vehicle theft in 2022, and aggravated assault causing physical injury in 2023.
Court records also show that a 2019 case involved kidnapping and drug-related allegations. In that matter, the victim was listed as being under the age of 15. Those charges were ultimately dismissed, according to available records.
Authorities noted that Smith has used multiple aliases over the years. Local reports identified those names as Corral Albright, Coral Albright-Smith, and Under The Sea Smith.
Law enforcement officials released a physical description to assist the public in identifying the suspect. According to the sheriff’s department, Smith is approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 136 pounds. She has blond hair and blue eyes.

Investigators also noted that Smith has several distinctive tattoos. Among them are a smiley face and heart on her right ankle, a rose with flames on her right foot, and the words “love, life, family” tattooed on her left leg.
The alert comes as public attention remains focused on the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, whose case has generated widespread interest in Arizona and nationally because of her relationship to the longtime television host.
While investigators continue pursuing leads in both matters, officials stressed that the kidnapping case involving Smith remains a separate investigation. Authorities have not announced any evidence linking the suspect to Guthrie’s disappearance.
Anyone with information regarding Smith’s whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Pima County Sheriff’s Department.
