A televised interview between Chris Cuomo and Bill O’Reilly escalated into a heated on-air argument Wednesday night, as the two commentators clashed over Iran’s nuclear capabilities during a discussion on NewsNation.
As The New York Post reported, the exchange took place during Cuomo’s program, where O’Reilly appeared as a guest to discuss the ongoing conflict involving Iran, Operation Epic Fury, and the status of a fragile ceasefire.
What began as a policy discussion quickly turned into a back-and-forth confrontation centered on differing interpretations of Iran’s uranium enrichment levels and U.S. intelligence assessments.

The disagreement focused in part on remarks from War Secretary Pete Hegseth, who had suggested earlier in the day that the United States has precise knowledge of Iran’s progress toward developing nuclear weapons.
During the segment, O’Reilly referenced comments made by International Atomic Energy Agency Director-General Rafael Grossi in a March 22 interview with CBS News’ Margaret Brennan.
According to O’Reilly, Grossi indicated that Iran had reached 60% uranium enrichment, a level considered a significant step toward weapons-grade material, which is typically enriched to 90%.
“The director, Rafael Grossi, on March 22 of this year, made it very clear that he believes the enriched uranium in Iran stands at 60%. So why would he say that,” O’Reilly said.

Cuomo challenged that interpretation, stating that O’Reilly had taken the comments out of context and referencing a transcript of Grossi’s remarks.
“That’s not exactly what he said,” Cuomo responded.
“What did you think? I’m just gonna let you take it out of context, like you did on your show last night? Not here. Here we’re gonna give you the context.”
The exchange intensified as both men interrupted each other while defending their positions. O’Reilly maintained that his reading of Grossi’s comments was accurate.
“You can believe what you want to believe, but I believe in his words,” O’Reilly said.
Cuomo pushed back, urging O’Reilly to acknowledge what he described as a correction.
“No, no, no, no, just say, ‘I’m corrected, let’s move on,’ and let’s move on, there’s more to talk about,” Cuomo said.
At one point, the exchange turned into a direct confrontation over control of the discussion.
“Keep quiet for a second,” O’Reilly said.
“No, it’s my show, pal, and if you don’t like it, you can go,” Cuomo replied.
O’Reilly responded by attempting to read the quote again, stating, “Margaret Brennan, this is a quote that Grassi gave her.
‘One, most notably, the inventory of enriched uranium at 60%, which is very much close to the degree you need to make a bomb.’ That’s what the man said. Now, where did he get the information?”

Cuomo acknowledged the question raised by O’Reilly but continued to argue that the broader situation remains unclear due to limited verification.
“First of all, that’s a good question, I’ll give you that one. That one’s not some ham-fisted, opportunistic judgment,” Cuomo said.
He added that uncertainty remains due to limited access for inspectors.
“He says they still have their own surveillance mechanisms, it’s just been broken down over time, and that they haven’t had any real eyes on the situation for years. Which is why no one really knows, Bill. I know they have things, we just don’t know how much. And it doesn’t really matter because they’re saying they won’t stop,” Cuomo said.
O’Reilly questioned that assessment, suggesting that Iran’s refusal to allow inspections raised concerns.
“If you have any shred of logic left. If Iran didn’t have uranium enriched to 60%, why wouldn’t they let weapons inspectors in?” he said.
Cuomo responded with a broader critique of Iran’s leadership.
“Oh, listen. They didn’t let weapons inspectors in before they had 60%, because they are a bunch of psycho zealots that want to destroy everyone they can. They are liars and cheaters,” Cuomo said.
“They hate their own people. They are terrible people. They don’t love their country, they don’t love their people, it’s all expendable. These are terrorists, Bill.”
The exchange continued with both men trading criticisms, with Cuomo referring to O’Reilly as “Mr. No Spin” and “Mr. Accuracy,” while also stating he places greater trust in intelligence sources in the Middle East rather than statements from Hegseth.

In Iran, like in Hitler’s Germany, there are those who are against what their government is doing and are quite willing to let us know what is happening in their country.
Of course, some of the information is exaggerated and some is double agent type stuff to confuse our intelligence community, but much of it is correct.
The average TV personality knows very little of what is actually going on.
Take what you read and hear with a grain of salt!
I really don’t know why anyone would listen to Cuomo in the first place. Seems everyone forgot what he said when he was working for CNN, the Clinton News Network, as Trump dubbed it at one point. Since he was fired from there, he seems to have done an 180 now. Wonder why? Oh, that’s right. He’s no longer being paid to be a mouth piece anymore. I think if someone were to look into it, he’s probably as bad as his brother, if not worse.
