City officials and community leaders have not yet commented publicly on the incident. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Chicago Police Department or submit tips anonymously through Crime Stoppers.

As of Thursday morning, no motive has been determined, and the investigation remains ongoing.

The mass shooting adds to a growing number of violent incidents in Chicago in 2025, as law enforcement continues to confront gang-related crime and rising gun violence across several neighborhoods.
