Former New York State Senator David Carlucci appeared on The Faulkner Focus on Fox News Friday, sparking a heated exchange with guest host Julie Banderas over issues ranging from the Biden administration’s policies to the potential impact of a future Trump administration.
The discussion highlighted ongoing political divisions as Carlucci and Banderas clashed over the role of leadership and the future direction of the country.
Banderas kicked off the segment by referencing a recent survey showing that only a third of Democrats are satisfied with the country’s trajectory under Joe Biden.
The survey has raised questions about the party’s leadership and direction, with many calling for a broader willingness to engage with Republican ideas.

Carlucci responded to the criticism of Biden by defending the administration’s approach, stating, “Sometimes you have to crack some eggs” to enact necessary but unpopular policies.
However, his comments were met with skepticism by the conservative guest panel and Banderas herself.
During the discussion, Carlucci turned his focus to Elon Musk, suggesting a close relationship between Musk and former President Donald Trump. “If we’re concerned about who’s calling the shots in the White House, we should stand up and do something about it because I think we should have concerns about co-President Elon Musk,” he said.
Banderas immediately pushed back, calling Carlucci’s statement a “Democratic talking point” and asserting, “First of all, Donald Trump was not letting anybody take the wind out of his sails. He is not going to let Elon Musk come in and make decisions.”

Carlucci’s insistence that it “looks that way” led Banderas to directly challenge him, asking, “How does it look that way?”
She went on to highlight Musk’s efforts in cutting unnecessary spending, referencing the country’s $35 trillion debt as a critical issue requiring smart leadership.
The discussion took another turn when Banderas asked a pointed question: “Wouldn’t you want a smart businessman in the office, or do you want Kamala Harris?” Carlucci attempted to shift the focus back to Trump, stating that the former president needed to “call the shots” in his upcoming term.
Banderas quickly countered, reminding him that Trump is not currently in office. “President Trump isn’t even in office yet, so I don’t know what you mean by ‘calling the shots.’ We certainly need somebody to call the shots, and under Biden, we really don’t know who is calling the shots.”

The debate shifted to Biden’s leadership, with Banderas pointing to recent controversies, including pardons issued to individuals on death row.
Carlucci defended Biden, asserting that he remains in charge, but Banderas responded calmly, stating that Americans would evaluate Trump’s leadership when he assumes office again.
Carlucci’s attempt to contrast Biden’s lack of social media presence with Trump’s frequent public statements also drew a sharp rebuttal.
“At least Donald Trump is out there talking to the American people!” Banderas said. “I would rather a President that engages with us than hides behind closed doors.”

Why is fox giving these traitors oxygen? Just bury them to obscurity forever.
This is the typical Communist tactic of trying to turn the facts around and put it back on their opponents by accusing them of doing the same thing that they have done. The contrast is blinding. America has just endured four years of a concerted effort by George Soros and his minions to finish ‘destroying America from within’ with a rigged 2020 election by installing a senile, clueless, corrupt politician who has been absent 40% of the time. Like obama, FJB is just the ‘front man’ for Soros’s minions to do the behind-the-scenes dirty work. On the other hand, Trump dismantled some obama-era policies to actually improve conditions in America despite being fought at every turn by Democrats and RINOS. With Trump’s second (and last) term in office, he is ready for a fight and won’t back down. That’s why he went ‘outside-the-box’ with Musk, Ramaswamy and RFK, Jr. — he wants people outside of government and ‘The Swamp’ to do some real changes that will have a positive impact on America — not destroy it. The Democrats, Communists and RINOS consider MAGA an evil slogan. Why would anyone be opposed to the MAGA philosophy? Make America Great Again — who doesn’t want that?
