President-elect Donald Trump announced on Sunday that Massad Boulos, father-in-law of his daughter Tiffany Trump, will serve as Senior Advisor to the President on Arab and Middle Eastern affairs.

“Massad is an accomplished lawyer and a highly respected leader in the business world, with extensive experience on the international scene,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social.

He praised Boulos’ dedication to Republican and conservative values, noting that Boulos played a significant role in building coalitions with Arab-American communities during the 2024 campaign.

Massad Boulos, a Lebanese-born businessman, is the head of Nigeria-based Boulos Enterprises, which manufactures and distributes mechanical equipment and motorcycles.

He also serves as CEO of SCOA Nigeria, a conglomerate involved in industries ranging from transportation and construction to fine food imports. Boulos’ net worth is reportedly in the billions.

Boulos’ connection to the Trump family was solidified in 2022 when his son, Michael Boulos, married Tiffany Trump.

During an October 2024 speech at the Detroit Economic Club, Trump revealed that Tiffany is expecting her first child with Michael.

Calling Boulos a “dealmaker” and a proponent of peace in the Middle East, Trump emphasized the value Boulos would bring to the administration. “He will be a strong advocate for the United States, and its interests, and I am pleased to have him on our team,” Trump said.

Boulos’ appointment is one of several high-profile nominations announced by Trump as he prepares to take office in January.

On Saturday, Trump named Charles Kushner, father of son-in-law Jared Kushner, as his pick for Ambassador to France.

Trump also appointed Steve Witkoff, a longtime friend and real estate mogul, as Special Envoy for the Middle East.

Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee has been named the U.S. ambassador to Israel.

Observers have noted Boulos’ connections to Arab-American communities, which helped Trump make inroads with this key voting bloc during the 2024 election.

A poll by the Council on American-Islamic Relations showed Trump receiving 21.4% of Muslim voter support, edging out Kamala Harris, who garnered just 20.3%.

The Green Party’s Jill Stein received the majority of this demographic’s support with 53%.

The shift was particularly notable in Michigan, home to the largest Muslim-American population in the U.S., where Trump managed to flip the state back into the Republican column.

Born into a Christian family in Lebanon, Boulos later moved to Texas for college.

Lebanon recently reached a ceasefire agreement with Israel, which will see both sides scaling back from the southern border over the next two months.

Unlike her half-siblings, Tiffany Trump has largely avoided the political spotlight.

However, she has shown support for her father by attending key campaign and public events.
