The New Jersey Attorney General's Office has made public the body camera footage of a fatal officer-involved shooting incident that occurred in Mercer County.

The incident unfolded around 10 p.m. on March 8 at a residence located on the 1800 block of Orchard Avenue. According to reports, officers were responding to a call regarding a domestic dispute at the home.

The newly released bodycam footage captures the moments when officers entered the residence and were met with gunfire almost immediately.

Hamilton Township Police Officers Derek Fiabane and Paul Piromalli found themselves in a life-threatening situation as they exchanged gunfire with the 44-year-old occupant of the home, Vincent Correa.

The exchange of bullets resulted in both Officer Fiabane and Correa sustaining gunshot wounds. Correa succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Authorities recovered a rifle and a handgun from Correa's possession.

Officer Fiabane, on the other hand, was wounded but survived the encounter. He was rushed to a hospital for treatment and has since been released.
