In Chester County, South Carolina, a police chase resulted in a suspect’s truck flipping during a traffic stop, leading to a significant drug arrest on Thursday morning.
The Chester County Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies initiated a traffic stop at 6:32 a.m. on July 11 on JA Cochran Bypass near Columbia Road. The driver, identified as Eric Bernard Jones, was found to have a suspended license.
Jones fled from the traffic stop, resulting in a pursuit and a subsequent crash on Ashford Road.

Law enforcement apprehended Jones and conducted a search of his vehicle, which led to the seizure of approximately 112 grams of a substance suspected to be fentanyl, around 56 grams of a substance believed to be methamphetamine, $4,373 in cash, and an assortment of pills suspected to be controlled substances.
Injuries sustained during the crash prompted Jones's transportation to the hospital for medical treatment, and he was later taken to the Chester County Detention Center.

Jones now faces multiple charges, including driving with a suspended license, failure to stop for blue lights, trafficking fentanyl, trafficking methamphetamine, and possession with intent to distribute Schedule I-III substances.
