Two individuals were shot on Friday evening outside Dr. Henry A. Wise High School in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, during a vigil for three former football players, including Vikings rookie cornerback Khyree Jackson, who tragically lost their lives in a car crash.

According to police reports, a man is currently in critical condition, while a woman remains stable following the shooting in Upper Marlboro.

The incident occurred following a vigil at the school for the late 24-year-old Minnesota Vikings rookie Khyree Jackson, along with his friends, 23-year-old Isaiah Hazel and 24-year-old Anthony Lytton Jr., who all perished in a recent car accident. The trio had previously won a state championship during their time at Wise.

The fatal crash occurred when the friends were traveling in a Dodge Charger along Route 4, and an Infiniti attempted to change lanes, resulting in a collision with the Charger, as per law enforcement.
