"Jackass" star Steve-O recently announced that he has decided to cancel a planned stunt involving temporary breast implants after an unexpected conversation with a transgender individual changed his perspective.

The 50-year-old comedian, known for his outrageous pranks, had initially planned to get the implants as part of his upcoming "Super Dummy Tour," where he intended to trick men on the street into thinking he was a woman for hidden camera pranks.

In an interview with Consequence on Thursday, Steve-O explained how his encounter with a transgender person at a grocery store led him to rethink the entire idea. "On the day that the scheduled surgery was supposed to happen, I was checking out at the supermarket. And the person ringing up my groceries was evidently transgender, and it struck me as a sign from the universe," Steve-O said. He decided to ask the individual for their thoughts on his planned prank.

“I had a conversation with this person that had a profound impact on me,” Steve-O shared.

During the conversation, the transgender individual opened up about the hardships and discrimination they had faced, which caused Steve-O to reconsider the implications of his stunt.

Although Steve-O emphasized that his intention was never to hurt anyone, he admitted that the response to the prank “would’ve been a mixed bag.”

He acknowledged that while he hadn’t previously consulted with any members of the transgender community about the prank, the encounter made him realize the need for a different approach. “I just feel like the universe put this encounter before me, and ultimately I decided that the universe had intervened,” he said.

The transgender person recounted to Steve-O the struggles they experienced, including being barred from using the bathroom at work, facing potential arrest in certain states for having an ID that identified them as female, and fears of politicians pushing for more extreme measures of discrimination. "It was really pretty heartbreaking, the level of oppression that was described," Steve-O said.

This conversation forced him to reconsider the broader message his prank might send. “Framed like that, I thought about it in a way that I hadn’t before, where you know, wow, maybe it’s not all fun and games,” he explained.

Steve-O also acknowledged that the prank could have been misinterpreted as celebrating violence against transgender people, especially if he was attacked during one of the stunts, something he originally thought would make for better footage. "When it was put to me that way, I thought, wow, maybe I missed the mark on that one."

Although he does not regret backing out of the surgery, Steve-O expressed some regret about how publicly he had announced the stunt.

He first shared his plans during an appearance on the "X5 Podcast" in July, where he enthusiastically described the potential for comedy in the idea. At the time, he stated he was "so particularly in love" with the concept because "the opportunity for comedy I believe is absolutely there."

Reflecting on the decision to cancel the surgery, Steve-O said, “Looking back on it, I’m extremely grateful that it didn’t happen. I’m really glad that I didn’t go through with it. But that didn’t make it any easier, because I was so vocal about my plans to do that, and I’ve never been the kind of artist to say I was going to do something and then not do it.”

In the end, Steve-O admitted that his perspective had changed and that he valued the ability to acknowledge when he had made a mistake. "I think it’s a very valuable trait to be able to admit when you’ve got things wrong," he concluded.

The “Jackass” alum, known for his extreme stunts and comedic pranks, had intended for the temporary breast implants to be part of his signature style of commitment to comedy.

However, his unexpected encounter at the grocery store ultimately led him to reconsider and cancel the stunt altogether.

Jackass star Steve-O has made headlines once again, but this time with an announcement that has left many scratching their heads.

The notorious prankster has declared that his next big stunt involves getting "D-cup" breast implants - a move he dubs as his "craziest stunt yet."

In a recent appearance on the X5 Podcast, the now-sober daredevil unveiled his elaborate plan for the breast augmentation escapade. "I came up with the idea a few years ago to get a boob job and just film a bunch of legitimately funny hidden camera pranks with me in disguise, in various disguises, and then revealing who I actually am, and just funny endurance stunts and whatever," he nonchalantly explained.

According to Steve-O, he has already consulted with a doctor whom he hails as "the consensus absolute best in the world at giving men gorgeous boobs" and has set a firm date for the procedure.

However, in a bid to avoid any long-term consequences, he has assured that he will only sport the enhancements for a "max two months."

Coinciding with his Gone Too Far stand-up tour running through August 18, Steve-O sees the breast implant saga as a promotional gimmick.

While his loyal followers have mostly cheered on the outrageous endeavor, dissenting voices have expressed strong disapproval, accusing him of trivializing the struggles of breast cancer survivors who rely on such procedures for reconstructive and medical purposes.
