On October 10, 2023, Delta Police Department Officers were dispatched to 157 Bert Street in Delta, Colorado, after reports of a "strange man" in the driveway who had entered a house through a window. The first officer on the scene was Mark Bowen, who engaged in a confrontation with 43-year-old Jeremy Kuzov.
Kuzov was agitated, claimed his child had been killed, and refused to obey Bowen's commands. Kuzov eventually charged Bowen, hitting him in the head and attempting to take his taser. Bowen then drew his weapon, ordered Kuzov to comply, and shot him when he didn't listen.

The DA ruled that Bowen used justified force in self-defense and defense of others. Kuzov was diagnosed with left rib fractures and a lung contusion but ultimately survived the incident.
Toxicology reports also found drugs in Kuzov's system, including amphetamines, methamphetamines, opiates, and benzodiazepines.

Was there any validation to the suspects claim of his daughter ? And to run away gets one shot ?. I support the Police, but how does this warrant support. Maybe he’s out of his mind, so is Biden.
FAFO. It’s real simple, obey the police, whether you agree with them or not. The court room is where you make your case. The man had already attacked the officer, he could have used lethal force at that moment. I for one would not want that obvious madman running around my neighbor hood, would you? If this man was in my house I would not even say one word, double tap to the chest, end of the threat.
That is a very odd situation and outcome. Not to take away from the subject of the video, but is it simply a coincidence that this took place in CO and the total length of the video is 4:20?
At the cop shop it’s referred to as “escalation of force” and it’s a real thing.
