In the early hours of Friday morning, Tulsa police officers responded to a report of an alleged burglary at a dispensary, where they discovered a wounded individual lying on the sidewalk. The store employee, who was safeguarding the business by sleeping on the premises, was awoken by the sound of breaking glass. Upon investigating the disturbance, the employee witnessed the suspect attempting to gain entry through the front door.
The employee armed himself and discharged his firearm in response to the perceived threat. The result of the encounter left the suspected burglar, described as an unidentified white male wearing a ski mask and a hood, with multiple gunshot wounds.

The Broken Arrow Sentinel detailed the aftermath, stating that law enforcement arrived on the scene to find the injured individual incapacitated directly in front of the business. As it turned out, the dispensary had fallen victim to a prior burglary, prompting the employee and his girlfriend to spend the night at the establishment to prevent another break-in.
A spokesperson for the Tulsa Police Department confirmed that the employee, who defended the business with lethal force, had indicated a previous burglary incident, which led to the decision to stay overnight. The department did not provide further details about the suspect's identity.
