In Washington Square Park on Independence Day, a group of roughly 100 anti-Israel protesters staged a demonstration, setting fire to American flags and chanting "Burn it down!" as part of the "Flood Manhattan for July 4th" event.

During the event, at least one individual was taken into custody by law enforcement, although specific charges were not disclosed at the time.

Video footage captured a scene where a local, sporting a Yankees hat, attempted to engage with the protesters, only to be met with disdain as one man in glasses enthusiastically declared, "F–k Israel! F–k America! Woohoo!" amidst the cheers of his radical companions. Nearby, a tattered American flag lay smoldering next to a poster portraying Trump and Biden crowned, accompanied by the phrase "DEATH TO ALL KINGS" in bold letters.

The poster's message appeared to react to a recent Supreme Court decision establishing "absolute immunity" for U.S. presidents regarding official actions undertaken while in office.

Photographers, clad in keffiyehs, zoomed in to capture the flag-burning spectacle as the crowd's chants of "Free free free Palestine" and "Burn it down" reverberated throughout the park, where various flags met the same fiery fate.
