Despite league-wide concerns over Bronny James from a talent, health and personality perspective, Lebron James' son was selected by the L.A. Lakers on the second day of the NBA draft with the 55th pick. The two will be the first father-son duo on a team in league history.
Bronny collapsed on the floor during a USC practice last year as a result of a congenital heart defect.

The pick happened following reports that agent Paul Rich was telling teams to pass on Bronny James.

Bob Meyers is correct in the clip above, Stephen A. Smith does talk a lot (too much). However, the pick still happened and was predicted by many that if he was taken it would be by the Phoenix Suns or L.A. Lakers.

The debate over Bronny James will only intensify now with many questioning how much leverage Lebron had in the pick and whether it was the right move for the legendary franchise, or just a sentimental mistake. Time will tell.
