An Amazon delivery driver in New York City became the unexpected star of a viral video when he took down an alleged carjacker who assaulted his female colleague and attempted to steal their van.

The confrontation erupted when 29-year-old Kevon Wilson reportedly launched a sudden attack on a 23-year-old female Amazon driver near a company warehouse in Jamaica, Queens. According to law enforcement officials, Wilson repeatedly struck the female employee, forcibly removed her from the van, and then made a bold attempt to drive off with the vehicle.

The female victim managed to grab the keys from the ignition, prompting her male coworker to come to her aid and deliver some well-deserved blows to the would-be van thief. A video of the incident captures the courageous Amazon workers trying to fend off the assailant until the female driver stepped in to separate the men.

The suspect didn’t back down easily and made an attempt to take off with the Amazon van again, prompting another struggle with both workers. Despite suffering facial pain from the assault, the female employee declined medical attention.

Law enforcement later took the alleged carjacker into custody, charging him with robbery and assault. This wasn’t Wilson’s first brush with the law, as sources revealed his history of prior arrests and an open bench warrant for a traffic violation.
