The Biden campaign has rolled out a new ad, titled "Character Matters," as part of a $50 million ad blitz ahead of the first presidential debate, targeting former President Trump's recent legal challenges.

The new ad spotlights Trump's conviction on all 34 counts of falsifying business records, blasting him as a "convicted criminal" who is only out for himself. The ad draws a stark contrast between Trump's legal battles and Biden's focus on lowering healthcare costs and ensuring big corporations pay their fair share.

Biden's campaign communications director, Michael Tyler, didn't hold back in his criticism, stating, "Trump approaches the first debate as a convicted felon who continues to prove that he will do anything and harm anyone if it means more power and vengeance for Donald Trump."

Tyler emphasized that in the 2024 presidential campaign, "character matters," reinforcing the idea that the President of the United States should prioritize serving the American people, not personal gain.

In response, the Trump campaign dismissed the ad, calling it a "sham trial (that) was always meant to be election interference." National Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt asserted, "Despite Biden's failing campaign spending nearly $70 million on media buys, President Trump continues to crush Joe Biden in the polls."

The Biden campaign also revealed plans to invest heavily in engaging Black, Latino, and Asian American Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander voters, labeling it the "largest investment to date" in outreach efforts. It doesn't appear to be working.

All eyes are now on the upcoming debate on June 27, hosted by CNN in Atlanta, as the candidates gear up for a showdown.
