Jets head coach Robert Saleh informed reporters that quarterback Aaron Rodgers was not present at the start of the team's mandatory minicamp.

However, before Jets fans and the sports world flips out, Saleh explained that Rodgers had another important event and had informed the team of his plans in advance.

Still, despite this, his absence is still considered unexcused. According to Brian Costello, Rodgers' absence is unexcused, which means he could face a fine under the collective bargaining agreement, as attendance at minicamp is mandatory.

Rodgers has participated in most of the voluntary OTAs this spring and appears to be recovering well from last year’s torn Achilles.

Rodgers played only four snaps in 2023 before tearing his Achilles in Week 1. In 2022, he appeared in all 17 games for the Packers, completing 64.6 percent of his passes for 3,695 yards, 26 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions, along with 94 rushing yards and a touchdown.
