In a recent development surrounding the tragic Covenant School incident, shocking details have emerged from the journal of Audrey Elizabeth Hale. Hale, a biological female who identified as a transgender male during the time of the attack on March 27, 2023, had written a three-page entry titled “My Imaginary Penis,” which was recovered from her vehicle.

The Tennessee Star has obtained nearly four dozen pages of Hale’s writings from a source associated with the Covenant investigation, shedding light on her thoughts and desires leading up to the unfortunate event.

Hale’s journal entry begins with a crude drawing under the title “My Imaginary Penis.” In explicit language, she expresses her longing for a male anatomy, specifically desiring it for heterosexual intercourse with a woman.

While the contents of the entry are sexually explicit, there are other significant aspects to note. Hale mentions her experience adopting the name Aiden during her transition, which caused issues during a job application process due to background checks. Furthermore, she describes her upbringing as a girl as “torture,” fearing judgment during high school, but finding liberation in college and eventually learning about transgenderism in her early 20s.

Hale writes about her mother opposing the idea of her transitioning, referencing conservative views and a lack of understanding of LGBTQ issues. She laments her mother’s attachment to seeing her as a daughter, expressing concerns that becoming a son would result in losing Audrey.

“I hate parental views; how my mom sees me as a daughter – and she’d not bear to want to lose that daughter because a son would be the death of Audrey.”

In the later pages of the entry, Hale criticizes her parents for their alleged lack of support while also referencing the introduction of puberty blockers in 2007. She expresses a desire for the resources available for non-conforming transgender children, regretting the onset of puberty before the availability of such treatments.

“I’d kill to have those resources; 2007 was the birth of puberty blockers and a newfound discovery for treatment of non-conforming transgender children… I was in the 6th grade, puberty already hit me.”

Most disturbingly, Hale discloses her fantasies involving her stuffed animals, simulating intercourse as a man. She mentions photographing these enactments, losing track of time, and neglecting other activities, noting a sense of guilt and wastefulness.

“I can pretend to be them [and] do the things boys do [and] experience my boy self as Tony… stuffed boy doll… is like the boy I am in another form.”

It is important to note that Hale penned this entry just 16 days before the tragic attack at Covenant School, claiming the lives of three 9-year-old students and three adults.
