Megyn Kelly is once again making headlines after unloading on Ellen DeGeneres during a fiery segment of her podcast, The Megyn Kelly Show.

The former Fox News host took aim at DeGeneres’ tarnished reputation, revisiting the toxic workplace scandal that derailed the once-beloved talk show host’s career.

While interviewing comedian Adam Carolla, Kelly brought up how Hollywood stars often present very different versions of themselves to the public compared to their private behavior.

Quickly, their conversation landed on DeGeneres, who became infamous for the severe allegations that emerged from her daytime show.

Carolla remarked that many celebrities hide their true selves behind polished public images and pointed to DeGeneres as a prime example.

He cited how dramatically different her workplace reputation was from her cheerful on-screen persona during the height of The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Kelly then shared a secondhand story she said she heard from a relative who allegedly knew an employee from DeGeneres’ show.

According to Kelly, that story claimed staffers were instructed not to make eye contact with DeGeneres while working on set.

Kelly acknowledged that hosts might need quiet focus before going on air, but she argued that forbidding eye contact seemed excessive and demeaning.

“You were not allowed to look Ellen in the eye,” Kelly said forcefully.

“You can’t make eye contact with her? She’s a monster.”

Carolla followed her remarks by sharing his own personal observation.

He recalled attending a wedding where DeGeneres was a guest and noted that while everyone else danced, she alone refused to join in.

He found it ironic considering DeGeneres’ talk show famously opened with her dancing every day.

Kelly was not surprised by the story.

She used the example to highlight the recurring theme that what audiences saw on television did not match who DeGeneres allegedly was behind the scenes.

Throughout their exchange, both Kelly and Carolla questioned how the once “Queen of Nice” could maintain her brand of kindness publicly while allegedly presiding over a workplace accused of toxicity, bullying, and discrimination.

While DeGeneres cited political reasons for the move, critics speculated that the relocation offered her a break from intense media scrutiny and her declining popularity in the United States.

Kelly used the controversy as a broader critique of celebrity hypocrisy, accusing figures like DeGeneres of preaching kindness while failing to demonstrate it in private.

She closed her podcast segment with a cutting remark implying DeGeneres’ absence from American entertainment was for the best.
