President Donald Trump publicly criticized Rep. Lauren Boebert on Saturday and threatened to back a primary challenger against the Colorado Republican after she campaigned alongside Rep. Thomas Massie in Kentucky, as reported by Fox News.
The latest dispute unfolded as Trump continues his effort to unseat Massie, one of the president’s most outspoken Republican critics in Congress.

Trump has endorsed retired Navy SEAL Ed Gallrein in Kentucky’s Republican primary race against Massie.
In a Truth Social post Saturday, Trump questioned whether anyone would challenge Boebert in Colorado’s 4th Congressional District after she appeared with Massie during campaign events.

"Is anyone interested in running against Weak-Minded Lauren Boebert in Colorado’s Fourth Congressional District?" Trump wrote.
The president then criticized Boebert for supporting Massie despite Trump’s repeated attacks against the Kentucky congressman.
"Boebert is campaigning for the Worst 'Republican' Congressman in the History of our Country, Thomas Massie, of the Great Commonwealth of Kentucky, and anybody who can be that dumb deserves a good Primary fight!" Trump wrote.
"Even though I long ago endorsed Boebert, if the right person came along, it would be my Honor to withdraw that Endorsement and endorse a good and proper alternative," Trump added. "Just let me know, or announce your Candidacy, and I will be there for you!"

Boebert initially declined to directly address Trump’s comments when asked by Fox News, saying she did not want to "elevate" the situation.
She later responded publicly on X, defending her decision to stand with Massie despite knowing there could be political fallout.
"Yes, I saw the President’s post. No, I’m not mad or offended," Boebert wrote. "I knew the risks when I agreed to stand by my friend Thomas Massie. I was, and will be, America First, America Always, and MAGA."

Massie also responded following a campaign rally Saturday in Kentucky. Speaking to Fox News, he argued Trump should focus on repairing relationships inside the Republican Party instead of escalating conflicts with fellow conservatives.

"I think he should be mending fences with these folks, not trying to burn bridges," Massie said.
Trump has repeatedly targeted Massie in recent months over the congressman’s opposition to parts of the administration’s agenda.
Massie has pushed for the release of government files related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and has criticized Trump’s foreign policy decisions.
In another Truth Social post Saturday, Trump renewed his attacks on Massie while encouraging Kentucky Republicans to support Gallrein in the upcoming primary election.
"His name is Thomas Massie, and he is a disloyal, ungracious, and sanctimonious FOOL, who almost never votes for even the best of Republican Values," Trump wrote.

Trump also described Gallrein as "a true American Patriot" and urged Republican voters to support him in the May 19 Kentucky GOP primary.
The race has become one of the highest-profile Republican congressional primaries in the country, largely because of Trump’s direct involvement and his efforts to remove Massie from Congress after years of public disagreements.

Massie has represented Kentucky’s 4th Congressional District since 2012 and has frequently broken with Republican leadership and the Trump administration on spending bills, foreign policy matters, and government transparency issues.
Meanwhile, Boebert’s decision to campaign with Massie placed one of Trump’s longtime congressional allies directly in the middle of the growing political fight between the president and the Kentucky congressman.
