Mike Benz issued a stark warning to potential Republican presidential contenders, arguing that a coordinated global censorship campaign targeting American social media platforms threatens free speech, political leverage, and the viability of a conservative victory in 2028 unless immediate action is taken.

Benz said the danger is being underestimated and that foreign governments and trade bodies are preparing massive fines designed to cripple platforms that host political speech favorable to Republican candidates.

“I want to make a message directly to JD Vance Marco Rubio, anyone who might want to run for president of the United States in the Republican Party in 2028 this administration has done a fantastic job on so many issues, and there has been good talk about the most critical issue of our time, free speech,” Benz said.

He acknowledged domestic efforts to counter censorship but warned that the threat is now international and escalating.

“You are being encircled. You're being surrounded, you're being outplayed, you're being out, outmatched, and you do not appreciate the magnitude, the threat you need to respond to,” Benz said.

According to Benz, the next several years will see a coordinated crackdown by multiple governments acting in tandem.

“What will happen slowly over the next three years is you will continue to be encircled,” he said.

“There will be a sudden, massive global it will seem coordinated after they must be coordinating it massive imposition of fines totaling in the 10s of billions of dollars, collectively leveled at Google, Facebook, Instagram, X, WhatsApp, Telegram.”

Benz said as many as 14 countries, along with trade bodies such as the European Union, could impose penalties large enough to bankrupt platforms unless they censor political speech.

“There will be 14 different discreet countries as well as giant trade bodies like the EU, who will pass coordinated life ending fines on social media companies if they carry any message that is a proxy for support for your candidacy,” he said.

He warned that once platforms are under financial threat, Republican candidates would be powerless to intervene.

“If they don't do it, they go bankrupt,” Benz said.

“If they go through with the censorship, they will look to you, and you will look helpless. And in fact, by then, you will be helpless.”

Benz argued that traditional forms of leverage, such as tariffs or diplomatic pressure, would be ineffective once censorship determines election outcomes.

“You will find that the things that you think you have as leverage are actually not that helpful,” he said.

“If you can't use 21st Century Communications… you're lost.”

He contrasted the lack of coordination he sees now with what he described as the Biden-Harris administration’s comprehensive censorship infrastructure.

“What the Biden administration did to establish a censorship industrial complex… they had intra agency coordination,” Benz said, describing how multiple State Department bureaus and regional offices worked in sync to push censorship policies abroad.

He said that effort expanded across agencies.

“This White House interagency task force on information integrity had 26 government agencies and departments as part of its interagency task force,” Benz said.

“Information Integrity means censorship.”

Benz cited recent developments in Europe as evidence that the campaign is already underway.

“Yesterday, the government of France raided the Paris office, I believe, of X, seized their files, and the Prime Minister of Spain announced a new initiative for mass censorship of American social media companies,” he said.

He criticized the absence of an official U.S. response.

“I just went to the State Department X account, no public statement in response to this was even made,” Benz said.

Benz said Republicans must immediately build an interagency and international strategy to counter the effort, including coordinated embassy guidance, legislative tools, and retaliatory regulatory measures.

“You need retaliatory regulatory structures in place. You need a poison pill in place,” he said.

“You will not have time to create that leverage six months before an election.”

He warned that failure to act would result in electoral defeat and severe personal consequences for candidates.

“I am here from the future to tell you this is going to happen,” Benz said.

“Without it, you got no shot.”

Benz concluded by urging immediate action to protect free speech, platforms, and voters.

“For humanity, for your country, and if nothing else than for yourself, this has to be done now,” he said.
