A Minnesota college student is facing widespread criticism after posting a viral social media video in which he threatened to shoot U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents.
The video, shared widely before being deleted, featured Somali Minnesota resident Hasan Mohamed delivering an expletive-filled message aimed at ICE personnel operating in his Owatonna neighborhood.
“ICE, I actually heard you guys pulled up to Owatonna, the big O, and you pulled up when I was not there? Y’all so puss-ass sh*t, boy. You’re gonna get popped next time I see you,” Mohamed said in the clip.
He continued, “Bring the whole cavalry. Yeah, boy, you guys are scared.”

Social media users quickly identified Mohamed as a student at Minnesota State University based on information appearing on his accounts.

The original video, which circulated rapidly across platforms, was removed from his TikTok page shortly after the backlash intensified.
Following the criticism, Mohamed posted several follow-up videos on Tuesday in which he expressed regret for his comments and attempted to explain his actions.
“I don’t expect to be forgiven. I’m just here to apologize,” he said.

“I truly did not mean what I said. I was just trying to be funny.”
Reactions online indicated significant skepticism toward the apology, with some users noting similarities between Mohamed’s statements and a well-known apology issued by YouTube personality Logan Paul in 2018 after a separate controversy.
The uproar occurred as ICE announced ongoing enforcement operations in Minnesota.
The agency shared a message on X stating, “Minnesota’s weather is cloudy with a 100% chance of ICE,” accompanied by video showing recent arrests.

Federal immigration authorities have focused increased attention on the state in recent weeks.
Officials said up to half of Somali migrants in Minnesota may possess fraudulent immigration documentation, prompting expanded enforcement activity.
