Federal investigators have released photos of a new person of interest connected to the assassination of Charlie Kirk, the 31-year-old founder of Turning Point USA, who was shot and killed during an outdoor event at Utah Valley University on Wednesday, as reported by The Gateway Pundit.
The FBI, working with the Utah Department of Public Safety, published two images on Thursday asking the public to help identify the individual.
“We are seeking the public’s help in identifying this person of interest in connection with the fatal shooting of Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University. 1-800-CALL-FBI Digital media tips: fbi.gov/UtahValleyShooting,” the agency said in a statement.

At a Thursday morning press briefing, officials explained that the person of interest was tracked on surveillance cameras from the time they arrived at 11:52 a.m.
They were seen entering a stairwell, heading to the roof of an adjacent building, and then leaving the area shortly after the shooting took place.

Authorities also detailed evidence collected in the case so far. A rifle believed to be the murder weapon was recovered in a wooded area along the suspect’s escape route.
Investigators also confirmed they obtained a palm print, forearm impressions, and a footwear impression from the scene.

The FBI confirmed that all items of evidence have been submitted for forensic analysis as the manhunt continues. Officials declined to say whether the person of interest is considered a suspect, but emphasized the importance of public assistance in identifying them.
FBI Director Kash Patel posted about the development on social media minutes after the announcement, urging cooperation from anyone with information.
Kirk was gunned down while answering a question from the audience during his “American Comeback Tour” event at Utah Valley University. Witnesses reported a single shot rang out, striking him as he stood beneath a tent. The shooter fled immediately after firing.
The assassination has prompted a coordinated response from multiple law enforcement agencies, including the FBI, the Utah State Bureau of Investigation, and local police.

Officials have confirmed that two individuals were previously detained and released, but no arrests have been made in connection to the killing.
Kirk, a prominent conservative activist and leader, leaves behind his wife, Erika, and two young children. The investigation remains ongoing, and the FBI is urging anyone with tips to come forward.
