Law enforcement in Tennessee is conducting a statewide manhunt for 28-year-old convicted felon Austin Robert Drummond, who is wanted in connection with the murder of four family members in Tiptonville and the abandonment of a 7-month-old child in a stranger’s yard in Tigrett, approximately 40 miles away, as reported by the New York Post.

Drummond has been charged with four counts of first-degree murder and is now listed on Tennessee’s Most Wanted List. Authorities have warned the public that he is likely armed and dangerous.

The investigation began Tuesday afternoon when a 911 call reported a baby girl found in a car seat on a residential property in Tigrett, located in northwestern Tennessee. The caller stated that the child had been left in the front yard by someone driving a minivan or mid-sized SUV.

While working to identify the child and locate her family, law enforcement officers discovered the bodies of four individuals at a residence in Tiptonville just hours later.

Wilson and Williams were the parents of the infant, Rose was the child’s maternal grandmother, and Braydon Williams was the child’s uncle.

Investigators revealed that Drummond is currently in a relationship with Rose’s half-sister. A motive for the killings has not yet been disclosed.

District Attorney Danny Goodman confirmed that Drummond has an extensive criminal history and was released from prison late last year after serving 13 years for aggravated robbery and related offenses.

Given his past convictions and the nature of the current charges, authorities believe he may be in possession of a weapon and should be considered extremely dangerous.

Drummond is described as approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing around 190 pounds. He may be driving a gray 2016 Audi A3 with Tennessee license plate RI 01896. The vehicle reportedly has damage on the driver’s side.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and local agencies are urging the public to contact authorities immediately with any information related to Drummond’s whereabouts.

Law enforcement has increased patrols and is coordinating with regional and federal partners in the ongoing search.
