The revelation came during a profanity-laced appearance on Channel 5 with Andrew Callaghan, where Hunter Biden criticized both the Trump administration and members of the Democratic Party.

“He flew around the world. He’s 81 years old. He’s tired. They give him Ambien to be able to sleep, and he gets up on the stage and looks like a deer in the headlights,” Hunter Biden said in the interview.

There has been no public acknowledgment from the White House or President Biden’s physician, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, that the President has ever been prescribed or administered Ambien, a sedative commonly used to treat insomnia.

President Biden’s performance in the June 2024 debate against Trump drew immediate concern from political observers and voters.

Despite spending several days preparing at Camp David ahead of the event, Biden’s delivery during the debate was marked by pauses, incomplete thoughts, and difficulty articulating responses.

The debate fueled concerns over his age and mental fitness, particularly after moments where he appeared disoriented and had to be assisted offstage.

The fallout from the debate led to mounting pressure within the Democratic Party. After nearly a week of internal discussions and a wave of anonymous reports questioning Biden’s ability to continue, he formally announced on July 21 that he would drop out of the 2024 presidential race.

Biden made the announcement in a statement posted to X, writing that it was in the best interest of the country and the party. He formally endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic nominee.
