A high school teacher in Maine is under scrutiny after posting a public call on Facebook urging the U.S. Secret Service and military to kill President Donald Trump and his supporters.
The post, attributed to JoAnna St. Germain, a teacher at Waterville Senior High School, has sparked concerns among parents, educators, and law enforcement.
According to a report published Wednesday by the Maine Wire, St. Germain wrote that the Secret Service “has the perfect opportunity” to act and “take out every single person who supports Trump’s illegal, immoral, unconstitutional acts.”

Her post, which remained public for a time before being edited, implied that federal agents should initiate lethal action against the president and his allies to “avoid a civil war.”

“If I had the skill set required, I would take them out myself,” St. Germain wrote. “I’m making this post public for a reason, I promise you.”
St. Germain attempted to clarify her post by saying she was not advocating for the assassination of “a president,” arguing that President Trump is not a legitimate president.
“A president is a person duly elected by the American people,” she wrote.
“Tr*mp has shamelessly bragged openly about stealing the election. He is making plans to give himself a third term.”

In the same thread, she stated that “every other country sees what’s happening and they are taking stands,” before calling on Secret Service agents and military members to act.

The teacher’s statements raised alarm over her role as an educator, particularly given her expressed desire to see not only the president but his supporters killed.
The Maine Wire raised concerns about the safety of students whose families may support Trump, given St. Germain’s statements.
Waterville Senior High School Principal Brian Laramee declined to respond to questions about the post or the school’s response.
As of Thursday, no public statement had been issued by the school district regarding her employment status.
Following public outcry, St. Germain posted a follow-up, claiming her remarks were misinterpreted.
“My friends. I am so sorry you took that post to mean that all Republicans should die,” she wrote.
“I have no beef with Republicans. I have no beef with MAGA. I meant that those in the room with Trump, who are permitting and approving his egregious actions, need to be held accountable.”
However, in the same follow-up, she repeated her support for violent action against Trump and his aides.
“I believe Trump and every sycophant he has surrounded himself with... needs to die,” she wrote.

She further stated that she posted her message knowing she would likely lose her job and added, “I have zero shame about what I’ve said.”
St. Germain also stated that she was motivated by her role as a history teacher and her belief that political history is repeating itself.
“I’ve been teaching history for so long, and it’s very difficult to watch things repeat in rhymes,” she said.
Federal law prohibits threats against the President of the United States.
It remains unclear whether the Secret Service is investigating the matter.
The agency has not publicly commented on St. Germain’s post as of Thursday.
Concerned parents and community members have called for an immediate review of St. Germain’s employment at the high school, citing safety and professionalism.

No disciplinary action has been confirmed by the school board or superintendent.
St. Germain’s statements have intensified debate over political rhetoric in schools and the growing influence of online posts by educators with public-facing roles.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is what our college education system is producing. To stop some of the craziness we have to root out the narcissistic unhinged professors that are brainwashing our young people. It’s obvious this English/History teacher didn’t learn much about English nor History if the meaning of what she writes cannot be interpreted and she has to follow up with yet another explanation to what she deems to be taken out of context.
This “teacher” is in fact a Left wing fanatic – if she cannot teach children in a even handed manner – then she should resign.
She obviously did not watch the Election count in November -it was clear as day that Trump and the Democrats won the Popular vote – the House and the Senate – and best of all – The Presidency.
If she were a true Historian she would know what the word Democracy means – ie Rule by the Majority.
