Democratic Representative Jamie Raskin has once again drawn attention for his stance on immigration and the deportation of criminals.
During a recent hearing, Raskin called for the return of Venezuelan gang members who were deported from the United States to El Salvador last month.

The gang members, associated with the notorious Tren de Aragua and MS-13, were sent back to El Salvador following an agreement signed between President Donald Trump and El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele.

Raskin, a Democratic representative from Maryland, voiced strong opposition to the deportation during his comments at a Judiciary Committee meeting.
He demanded that the Trump administration immediately return the individuals to the U.S. while continuing to appeal any judicial decisions related to their deportation.
“I call on my colleagues to demand that the Trump Administration comply with all judicial orders while appealing whichever ones they want to appeal, and to demand the return of people unlawfully taken to El Salvador on that so-called plane full of ‘gang bangers,’” Raskin said on Tuesday.

Raskin’s remarks were in reference to the hundreds of Venezuelan gang members who had been deported to El Salvador, a move made possible by an agreement between the two countries.
Today, the first 238 members of the Venezuelan criminal organization, Tren de Aragua, arrived in our country. They were immediately transferred to CECOT, the Terrorism Confinement Center, for a period of one year (renewable).

These individuals were reportedly linked to dangerous transnational gangs such as Tren de Aragua and MS-13, organizations that have been involved in a wide range of criminal activities, including human trafficking, drug distribution, and violent crimes.
The congressman argued that the deportation of these criminals violated American legal principles.
He claimed that removing these gang members was “a blatant violation of American due process and all of our constitutional values.”
Raskin’s call for their return to the U.S. comes as President Trump’s administration continues its efforts to combat illegal immigration and criminal gangs, including the mass deportations of individuals with ties to these groups.
Raskin also criticized what he described as threats against judges who have attempted to block Trump’s deportation policies, particularly mentioning Obama-appointed Judge James Boasberg.
He used his platform to advocate for the protection of judicial figures, urging the committee to denounce violent threats and attacks on judges. “I especially call on them today to denounce all violent threats, doxxing, online vilification, and threats against our judges,” Raskin said.
“This is the Judiciary Committee of the United States, and we should act like it.”
However, Raskin’s sudden concern for threats against judges has drawn criticism from some quarters, especially when considering the ongoing wave of violent attacks against private property, such as incidents targeting Tesla owners and dealerships.
During an interview with NewsNation’s Chris Cuomo, Raskin pointed to the broader problem of violence in the country, attributing it to what he described as the actions of President Trump.
“This is the kind of civil disorder that has been unleashed in the country and licensed by Donald Trump, who pardoned more than 1,500 insurrectionists, including hundreds of people who violently assaulted our police officers,” Raskin remarked.
“So, that scene you’re showing me [of burning Teslas] makes me sick, not as sick as the attack on our police officers, but it’s in the same domain, and it’s all because of the same reason.”
Raskin’s statements reflect his continued opposition to Trump’s immigration policies and his focus on ensuring the protection of certain judicial decisions.

Where does Raskin live? Trump should arrange to have a couple thousand illegals housed in his town. I’m sure the locals would not appreciate Raskin’s argument for keeping illegals in the US.
We would be happy to bring them back but they will live in your house Jamie! You will be responsible to house and feed them illegal aliens and all their needs until the trial! Put your money where your mouth is MR. Big talker!
Raskin is a communist and should therefore be sent to GIITMO.
