Three illegal immigrants are now behind bars after a deadly drunk-driving crash in Arlington, Texas. Tragically this left a 22-year-old man fatally wounded and a community demanding answers.

As reported by The New York Post, the tragedy unfolded Saturday evening when 25-year-old Cesar Ramirez Castro reportedly drove his Ford F-150 onto the shoulder of I-20 and slammed into a car that had stopped along the highway.

The force of the crash pushed the parked vehicle into a concrete barrier, causing it to explode into flames. First responders arrived to find the driver—just 22 years old—dead behind the wheel. His name has not yet been released by authorities.

Castro, along with two other illegal immigrants riding in the truck—Marcelino Ramirez-Ramirez, 30, and Daniel Castro Zammarron, 24—didn’t stick around to help or take responsibility.

Instead, the trio reportedly jumped out of the vehicle and took off on foot, according to reports from CBS News. But their escape attempt didn’t last long. Police caught up with them and hauled all three into custody.

Castro, who failed a field sobriety test at the scene, now faces charges of manslaughter while intoxicated and collision involving death. Both Ramirez-Ramirez and Zammarron were charged with public intoxication.

All three suspects currently have immigration holds, meaning they are in the country illegally, and their names have now become yet another example of the cost of unsecured borders.

Fox News confirmed that jail records show all three men are under immigration holds.

This tragic death has reignited criticism of the Biden administration's immigration policies.

The administration's lenient approach has led to record-breaking illegal border crossings, overwhelming communities and straining law enforcement resources. In contrast, the current administration prioritized strong border enforcement and swift deportations of criminal aliens.

The Arlington Police Department has not released further details.
