ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith isn’t known for being a fan of President Donald Trump, but even he has had enough of the Democrat Party’s obsession with opposing him at all costs.
During an appearance on Hannity, Smith tore into Democrats for focusing entirely on attacking Trump rather than offering real solutions, as reported by The Gateway Pundit.
And he’s not wrong. Instead of policies, plans, or even basic leadership, Democrats seem to be running on one thing: blind opposition.

Every move they make is reactionary, every press conference is another performance, and every tweet is a meltdown over something Trump said or did.
Smith didn’t hold back when calling out the left’s pathetic strategy.
He pointed out how Democrats have abandoned the working class, leaned so far into radical policies that they made Trump appear normal in comparison, and spent their time in Washington focused solely on being the anti-Trump party.
“Here’s the problem — one of the problems, one of the many problems with the Democratic Party, outside of not being known as the party that caters to the working class, outside of being known as the party that lean so far left, you made Trump seem normal. Outside of all of those things-"

Sean Hannity, clearly amused, responded, “Oh, good grief.”
But Smith wasn’t done.
“Here’s the ultimate crime that’s going on. They’re literally sitting up on Capitol Hill, not all, but most of them. They’re the party. They’re literally sitting up on Capitol Hill acting like their only job is to be in opposition to Donald Trump in every way, shape, form, and fashion. That’s not going to get them the midterms. That’s not going to help them regain the White House. It’s — it’s fool’s gold.”
In other words, Democrats are so blinded by their hatred of Trump that they’ve lost touch with reality.
Smith even issued a warning, making it clear that if Trump’s economic policies—like tariffs—end up working in America’s favor, the left will have absolutely nothing to stand on.
“And somebody needs to tell them — I’m trying to tell them, I don’t think I’m alone, but when the conservatives like yourself and various others are uttering this stuff, it pains me to say — you’re right, and they better do something about it."
Hannity, catching the moment, jumped in: “Hold on, let me flag your state.”
Smith pressed on, saying:
“If the tariff situation works in Trump’s favor, they’re really not going to have a leg to stand on then. Lord help them if that happens.”
Smith is far from a Trump supporter, but even he sees what so many on the left refuse to acknowledge: Democrats aren’t offering anything except outrage and resistance. They’re not leading, they’re reacting. They’re not building, they’re tearing down.

If even Smith is pointing this out, maybe Democrats should take the hint—because 2024 has already passed them by, and if they don’t change course, 2028 isn’t looking too good either.
