White House Counselor Alina Habba shared a video on social media this week claiming she discovered the “fake Oval Office” allegedly used by Joe Biden throughout his presidency.

The set, long criticized by Biden’s opponents, was used for virtual events and public appearances, fueling speculation that it was meant to obscure the former president’s physical decline.

“You guys, I just finished a show. Look at the room that they put me in,” Habba said in the video, panning across a room featuring an official White House logo, an American flag, a teleprompter, and various screens.

“We’re in Biden’s fake Oval Office, everybody,” she continued. “I now know why, I now get it. There is a screen, teleprompter to the face.”

She ended her video with a remark about the Biden administration, saying, “All I can say is the last administration was a disgratz.”

While it’s unclear if the room Habba filmed was the same set used during Biden’s presidency, it is well-documented that the former president relied on a specially designed stage for various appearances.

Located in the South Court Auditorium at the Old Executive Office Building, the set featured enhanced lighting, screens, and even a digital backdrop of the White House.

Biden used this setup for multiple high-profile events, including his “Build Back Better” speech and a meeting with world leaders at the United Nations General Assembly.

The set also made headlines when Biden received his COVID-19 booster shot on camera.

One of the most widely mocked moments involving the set came during the “Build Back Better” event, where a fake window showed blooming flowers, even though the actual Rose Garden outside was in a different season.

For years, critics questioned why Biden didn’t simply use the actual White House for these events.

Many speculated the set was part of a broader effort to conceal his declining health—concerns that were seemingly confirmed after Biden’s disastrous debate performance in June 2024.

The event, in which he frequently lost his train of thought and fell into moments of awkward silence, ultimately forced the then-81-year-old president to abandon his re-election campaign.

Since Biden’s exit, more accounts have surfaced about the extent to which his inner circle allegedly misled the public.

In February, a former Biden-Harris administration official accused the White House of “gaslighting” journalists and voters by denying concerns about Biden’s age and cognitive state.

Jill Biden’s former press secretary, Michael LaRosa, has been vocal in his criticism of how the White House handled Biden’s public image.

Speaking at an event at the Science Institute at American University, LaRosa admitted that Biden’s team worked aggressively to suppress any discussion about his age.

“There are some things that are true, I mean, like the gaslighting. There was a lot of denial of the polling,” LaRosa said.

“And I will use the term gaslighting because that’s what they were doing, the campaign, former colleagues.”

He added that administration officials were deeply fearful of exposing Biden to unscripted interactions.

“The president’s team was scared to death of impromptu, unscripted, un-rehearsed, unpracticed, un-choreographed, anything,” LaRosa said in a discussion with journalist Tara Palmeri.

He revealed that White House officials went so far as to pressure news outlets into avoiding coverage of Biden’s cognitive decline.

“They were attacking The New York Times. They did do a lot of gaslighting of people. And I think if you were watching MSNBC, you probably believed them and were probably pretty shocked,” he said.

Biden’s presidency officially ended on January 20, 2025, when Donald Trump was sworn in for his second term.

In the aftermath, Democratic insiders have scrambled to shift blame over Biden’s failed re-election campaign, with many pointing fingers at those who shielded him from scrutiny for too long.

The revelation of Biden’s reliance on a fake set, coupled with new admissions from former officials, continues to raise questions about how much was hidden from the public during his administration.
