Former CNN host Don Lemon sparked concerns after posting a TikTok video of himself engaging in unusual behavior at a New York City subway station.
The video, which has amassed over 81,000 views, shows Lemon knocking on subway car windows and displaying random images to passengers before chasing after a departing train.
In the 15-second clip, recorded at the Times Square-42nd Street subway station, Lemon is seen tapping on the windows of passing trains to get the attention of commuters.

As passengers turned to look at him, he held up his phone to display blue-tinted photos.
At one point, Lemon showed a woman an image of Donkey from the Shrek movies.
The woman hesitantly smirked as the train pulled away. In another instance, he displayed a filtered headshot of himself to a different passenger, who showed no reaction.
Lemon, appearing amused by his own actions, grinned at the camera and later ran alongside the train while continuing to hold up his phone.

Lemon’s antics quickly drew attention online, with many users questioning his behavior. On X, critics described the video as “creepy” and “weird.”
“So Don Lemon is now a creepy stalker on the subway?” one viewer asked.
“What he does in his free time… Being… Annoying. And weird in public,” another commenter wrote.
One user suggested that his firing from CNN in 2023 had taken a toll, saying, “Losing that CNN gig has really sent him over.”
Others accused Lemon of seeking attention, with some stating he had “too much free time” since leaving the network.
“Is that what Don Lemon does in his spare time now?” one person questioned, while another asked, “Is he okay?”
Several users speculated that Lemon’s behavior reflected desperation, with one remarking, “He’s lost his mind.”

Despite the backlash on X, Lemon found support from his TikTok audience.
Some praised his video, with one user commenting, “CNN truly hated your personality because you are so amazing since you’ve left. I only believe anything you say because the media is ridiculous.”

Another fan expressed admiration, writing, “My goal for visiting NYC is to run into you so I can shake your hand for being my favorite. Don’t ever change.”
Lemon was fired from CNN in April 2023 following a series of controversies.
One of the most notable incidents occurred in February 2023, when he made comments on CNN This Morning suggesting that women over 40 were “past their prime.”
The remark, made in response to presidential candidate Nikki Haley’s proposal for mental competency tests for politicians over 75, sparked internal outrage.
“A woman is in their prime in their 20s and 30s and maybe 40s,” Lemon had stated, prompting pushback from staff and viewers.
Sources at CNN later told DailyMail.com that female employees demanded management choose between keeping Lemon or retaining other staff, with some threatening to quit.
“People are hurt by his actions and are not going to let this go. It is like every woman over 50 in America has taken this as a personal insult,” a source said at the time.
After his CNN departure, Lemon attempted to launch The Don Lemon Show on Elon Musk’s X platform.
However, the partnership was abruptly canceled following Lemon’s interview with Musk in March 2024.
Lemon accused Musk of suppressing free speech, claiming he had an agreement to stream his show on X before the deal fell through.
“His commitment to a global town square where all questions can be asked and all ideas can be shared seems not to include questions of him from people like me,” Lemon said in a statement.
While Lemon did not specify what triggered Musk’s reaction, journalist Kara Swisher claimed Musk was upset over questions about his ketamine use.
A source told DailyMail.com that Musk rejected Lemon’s demands, calling them excessive.
“If you look through Don’s asks, they fluctuate between the luxurious, to the far-out, to censorship,” the source stated.
Among Lemon’s reported requests were a Tesla Cybertruck and a $5 million upfront payment. Another demand was to be “the first podcast in space.”

Lemon’s recent subway stunt has only fueled further discussion about his post-CNN career.
While some fans continue to support him, others see his behavior as a sign of decline. As public scrutiny grows, it remains to be seen what Lemon’s next move will be.
