Parnell has been a prominent advocate for veterans and military service members, previously playing a role in the passage of the MISSION Act, a significant reform of the Department of Veterans Affairs.
His appointment comes as Trump continues to emphasize military strength and veteran support as key components of his administration’s priorities.
As Chief Pentagon Spokesman, Parnell will serve as the primary public affairs official for the Department of Defense, overseeing communication efforts and representing the Pentagon in media interactions.
His background in military leadership and advocacy for service members is expected to shape his approach in the new role.
I was wounded in Afghanistan & I can tell you that this man loves America’s servicemen & women.
He’s the first American President in my life who gives me real hope that we can achieve world peace during his administration. https://t.co/Cyh7eopQtM pic.twitter.com/SeSN6mAHGg— Sean Parnell (@SeanParnellUSA) October 23, 2024
