Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl Parade Erupts in Gunfire—At Least Two Shot [WATCH]

At least two people were shot Friday during [1] the Philadelphia Eagles’ celebratory Super Bowl parade in the Spring Garden neighborhood, according to reports.

CBS News stated that authorities have not yet provided details on the severity of the victims’ injuries or what led up to the shooting.

The incident comes amid heightened concerns over security at large public gatherings following the violent shooting at last year’s Kansas City Chiefs victory rally.

On January 31, 2025, Breitbart News reported that the Chiefs had decided against holding a public rally in the event of a Super Bowl win, citing security concerns stemming from the 2024 victory parade, which ended in gunfire.

That shooting resulted in one death and more than 20 people injured.

At the time, Breitbart News referenced a PBS report that described the chaos at the February 14, 2024, rally, noting, “Twelve people brandished firearms and at least six people fired weapons at the rally.”

The violence in Kansas City prompted reactions from several public figures, including Chiefs defensive end Charles Omenihu, who called for stricter gun laws in response to the shooting.

Omenihu claimed firearms are too easy to obtain in the United States, making the remarks before law enforcement had released full details on how the weapons were acquired, the identities of the shooters, or their ages.

Authorities in Philadelphia are continuing to investigate Friday’s shooting, and no suspects have been publicly identified.

The incident has reignited discussions about safety at large-scale sports celebrations as cities prepare for future events.
