Leaks within the federal government continue to undermine immigration enforcement efforts under President Donald Trump’s administration, with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids being compromised by unauthorized disclosures.
Tom Homan, Trump’s border czar, is now confronting [1] a persistent leak problem—one that may have ties to the FBI.
The latest breach occurred over the weekend when The Los Angeles Times received sensitive information about an upcoming large-scale ICE operation in California.

The newspaper was reportedly provided with documents confirming the details of the planned enforcement action.
This follows a previous leak regarding ICE raids in Aurora, Colorado, which also became public knowledge ahead of time.
Government leaks have long been an issue, but they were especially rampant during Trump’s first term.
With left-wing activists and bureaucrats openly supporting policies favoring illegal immigration, unauthorized disclosures of enforcement operations have become a recurring problem.
Homan confirmed that authorities have identified the individual responsible for leaking information about the Aurora operation.
Meanwhile, the investigation into the California breach is ongoing, with evidence pointing toward possible involvement from within the FBI.
“Well, look, we think it’s coming from inside. We know the first leak of Aurora is under current investigation. We think we identified that person,” Homan stated.
“The California leak, Secretary Noem, she’s correct on some of the information we are receiving tends to lead toward the FBI,” he continued.
“I talked to the Deputy Attorney General all this weekend. They’ve opened up a criminal investigation and they have promised that not only will this person lose their job and lose their pension, they will go to jail.”

Homan emphasized the risks these leaks pose to law enforcement officers conducting the raids.
Unauthorized disclosures can allow targets to flee or set up ambushes, putting agents in direct danger.
He warned that those responsible for leaking information would face severe consequences, including criminal prosecution.
The border czar also reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to dismantling sanctuary cities, which refuse to cooperate with federal immigration enforcement efforts.
