In yet another example of Biden’s border crisis reaching the open seas, the U.S. Coast Guard intercepted a vessel carrying 20 illegal migrants from Mexico and China as it attempted to reach California’s coastline.
As reported [1] by The New York Post, the 30-foot “panga-style” boat was spotted about 21 miles off the coast of Point Loma, near San Diego, before being swiftly cut off by the Coast Guard Cutter Haddock around 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Dramatic footage released by the Coast Guard shows crews moving in under the cover of night to apprehend the illegal entrants. The migrants—17 men and three women—were taken into custody and later turned over to Border Patrol agents in San Diego.

This latest bust highlights the ongoing surge of illegal immigration efforts at the maritime border, a crisis that continues to spiral out of control under the Biden administration’s lax enforcement policies.
With border crossings at record highs, human smugglers have increasingly turned to dangerous sea routes, putting lives at risk and stretching law enforcement resources thin.
The Coast Guard, however, has been ramping up its efforts to combat these illegal crossings. Just earlier this month, maritime officials intercepted an “overloaded” 30-foot sailboat packed with 132 Haitian migrants about 50 miles off Florida’s coast.
The need for heightened border security has become even more urgent in the wake of executive orders signed by President Trump immediately upon his return to the White House.
The administration has wasted no time in refocusing national security efforts on protecting American shores, ensuring that illegal migrants and human traffickers are stopped before they can step foot on U.S. soil.
