Ohio State freshman Thomas Schmnasky described the scene as “surreal.”

He shared that while he expected celebrations on campus, he never imagined fans would make their way into "The Shoe."

Senior Natalie Freihammer echoed the sentiment, expressing surprise that law enforcement did not take action to prevent the crowd from entering.

“It’s crazy,” Freihammer said. “I was surprised that the cops are so supportive.”

According to the Columbus Dispatch, OSU police officers inside the stadium seemed to embrace the celebratory atmosphere, allowing fans to revel on the field.

The crowd began to disperse within 30 minutes, but not before many captured photos and videos to commemorate the moment.

The celebration followed a nail-biting finish at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, where Ohio State’s victory was far from assured.
