During their initial interaction, Lewis claimed the messages were “fantasy” and not meant to be acted upon.

He also told officers he was in Indianapolis for vacation. Authorities instructed him to stop contacting Clark, but the communications reportedly continued.

Court documents obtained by TMZ Sports reveal that Clark was aware of the threats and adjusted her public appearances for safety reasons.

One of the messages allegedly sent by Lewis read: “Been driving around your house 3x a day… but don’t call the law just yet, the public is allowed to drive by gainbridge… aka Caitlin’s Fieldhouse.”

Another message stated, “I’m getting tickets. I’m sitting behind the bench… and I’m gonna f*** em up… watch me… settle down Michael… ur stuck in snow.”

Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears praised Clark for reporting the threats to law enforcement, emphasizing the courage it takes for individuals to come forward in such cases.

“It takes a lot of courage for women to come forward in these cases, which is why many don’t,” Mears said.

“In doing so, the victim is setting an example for all women who deserve to live and work in Indy without the threat of sexual violence.”

If convicted, Lewis faces up to six years in prison and a maximum fine of $10,000.

The charges highlight the seriousness of stalking and the importance of taking swift legal action to address such threats.

This case underscores the challenges public figures face in balancing their visibility with personal safety.

Law enforcement officials encourage anyone experiencing similar threats to report them immediately to ensure proper investigation and protection.

Caitlin Clark, a prominent figure in women’s basketball, has not publicly commented on the incident.

Meanwhile, authorities are continuing their investigation to ensure her safety and bring accountability to those responsible for the harassment.
