Mike Benz, a prominent political commentator, has alleged that Hunter Biden’s involvement in the Ukrainian energy company Burisma was part of a larger U.S. foreign policy strategy to undermine Russia’s economy and secure alternative natural gas supplies.

Hunter Biden leaves the J. Caleb Boggs Federal Building with his wife, Melissa Cohen Biden, after jury selection in his federal gun trial in Wilmington, Delaware on Monday June 3, 2024.

Speaking on the War Room podcast, Benz tied Hunter Biden’s role in Burisma to a post-2014 U.S. strategy involving military aid, corporate interests, and geopolitical maneuvering in Ukraine.

He argued that the recent pardon of Hunter Biden by President Joe Biden serves as an effort to bury critical details that could expose U.S. statecraft on a global scale.

“They don’t want a forensic excavation of the Hunter Biden saga and the extended Biden crime family saga. They want us to just move on because it reveals something very dark about what we’re doing in Ukraine in the first place,” Benz said.

Benz claimed that Burisma was not merely a private energy company but an instrument of U.S. statecraft.

He stated that government agencies, including the Pentagon, State Department, and CIA, used Burisma as part of a broader plan to weaken Russia’s economy by promoting Ukraine as an alternative natural gas supplier.

“I’ve said for a long time that if people really want the truth to come out on Burisma… the Senate Intelligence Committee could have simply requested all classified documents using the direct or code name for Burisma.

It would have turned up the entire blueprint,” Benz explained. “Burisma was being used as an instrument of statecraft by the Pentagon, the State Department, and the CIA to bankrupt Russia’s economy and build up an alternative natural gas supply in Ukraine to supplant Gazprom.”

Benz highlighted the significance of Hunter Biden’s position at Burisma, arguing that his role extended beyond personal financial gain and was directly linked to U.S. foreign policy objectives.

“After the 2014 coup… we made this play to militarily reconquer the Donbas, which is where half of Burisma’s mining rights and extraction rights are in Ukraine,” Benz said. “The other half is offshore, by Crimea, which was the other half of what we lost in the 2014 counter-coup disaster.”

He further tied these actions to U.S. military aid to Ukraine, which he alleged was aimed at securing Burisma’s resources. “Why were we giving billions in military aid to Ukraine before Ukraine was involved in a military war with Russia? It’s because we were directing the full battering ram of the U.S. armed forces… to reconquer the Donbas, where the resources of Burisma sit, as well as the offshore resources of Crimea,” Benz said.

Benz also pointed to major U.S. and international corporate players, including Chevron, Exxon, Royal Dutch Shell, and Halliburton, as beneficiaries of these geopolitical maneuvers.

He noted that these companies had partnerships with Naftogaz, a key supplier to Burisma.

“This goes far beyond the Biden family. This is about U.S. foreign policy and what we’re even doing in Ukraine in the first place,” Benz remarked.

He asserted that the pardon of Hunter Biden plays a critical role in burying these details, as it prevents a criminal investigation that could uncover crucial evidence through court-ordered subpoenas.

“The best way to actually collect evidence about something is through a criminal investigation… It’s the kind of thing that you can really only do through the court system,” Benz said.

Benz warned that revealing the full extent of the Biden family’s involvement in Ukraine would have global repercussions. “If the true extent of Hunter’s involvement and Joe’s involvement and Jim’s involvement… is revealed to the American people, it’s unfortunately also revealed to the world,” he said.

“Then Russia gets to hold up all the evidence of what the CIA was really doing to the world, and so does India, and so does Africa, and then it becomes a diplomatic incident.”

Benz concluded by asserting that the Biden administration’s actions are aimed at safeguarding U.S. national security by burying these explosive revelations. “In the name of national security, we need to bury the crimes of the Biden family,” he said.
