The Democrats are celebrating the news that their party claimed four Senate victories in four states that Donald Trump won.

I guess we can’t blame them for looking for any silver lining after Kamala Harris’ crushing defeat – and Republicans winning a government trifecta, albeit with a razor-thin majority in the House.

The Democratic Party’s official X account wrote “Democrats claimed four Senate victories in four states that Trump won. That’s the most Senate races lost in states won by the presidential winner’s party since 2004.”

Given the Democrats’ woeful election night, it’s no surprise that they’re claiming hollow victories wherever possible, though admittedly I’m a bit surprised they’re still technically boasting about losing. Remember; they’re claiming a gain of four Senators to make you forget that they, on net balance, lost Senate seats.

If anything, this just indicates that Independents split their vote on these particular races.

And just remember what it is they’re trying to distract you from with this sort of claim:

Kamala Harris lost to a man she labelled Adolf Hitler in a campaign which saw two assassination attempts on his life. And she continued turning up the rhetoric despite that.

She lost not only the Electoral College or the seven battleground states, but the popular vote too. Her party remained as the minority group in the House of Representatives, and it lost control of the Senate. The soon-to-be President Trump now has full control over a federal government which he believes has persecuted him.
