President-elect Donald Trump has thrown his full support behind KC Crosbie to succeed Lara Trump as co-chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC), as The New York Post reported.

Crosbie, 55, currently serves as the RNC’s treasurer and a committeewoman from Kentucky, making her a familiar and trusted face within the party's ranks.

In a Truth Social post, Trump applauded Crosbie as an "America First Patriot" and highlighted her record-breaking success as RNC treasurer.

“KC Crosbie is running to become the next Co-Chair of the Republican National Committee, to replace the fantastic Lara Trump!” he announced, crediting her with smashing "every fundraising record in history” and strengthening the party’s financial foundation.

Trump also emphasized Crosbie’s unwavering dedication to the MAGA movement, saying, “KC has been with me from the very beginning, helping REAL Republicans get elected across the Country.”

He added that Crosbie’s leadership would ensure the RNC remains “highly functioning, fiscally responsible, and effective,” with election integrity as a top priority.

Crosbie aims to fill the shoes of Lara Trump, who announced her plans to step down as co-chair in an X (formerly Twitter) post on Sunday.

Lara Trump, 42, played a pivotal role in securing Republican victories across the board during the 2024 elections, helping the party regain the White House, Senate, and maintain control of the House.

In a separate interview with the Associated Press, Lara revealed her interest in potentially running for Florida’s Senate seat, soon to be vacated by Secretary of State-designate Marco Rubio. “It is something I would seriously consider,” she shared.

In his endorsement of Crosbie, Trump praised Lara’s transformational leadership alongside RNC Chairman Michael Whatley.

“Lara, together with Chairman Michael Whatley, transformed the RNC into a lean, focused, and powerful machine that is empowering the MAGA Movement for many years to come,” he wrote.

“Thank you for your hard work, Lara, in MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

Trump also unveiled two critical appointments to his incoming administration. Mark Paoletta, a seasoned legal expert who served as general counsel for the Office of Management and Budget during Trump’s first term, will reprise the role. Trump described him as “a brilliant and tenacious lawyer.”

Additionally, Harmeet Dhillon, a renowned religious-liberty attorney and 2020 Trump campaign legal adviser, will assume the position of assistant attorney general for civil rights. “Harmeet is a respected member of the Sikh religious community,” Trump noted on X.

“In her new role at the DOJ, Harmeet will be a tireless defender of our Constitutional Rights, and will enforce our Civil Rights and Election Laws FAIRLY and FIRMLY.”

With Crosbie poised to take the reins at the RNC and Trump solidifying his administration, the groundwork for another robust Republican agenda is firmly in place.
