A key supporter of President-elect Donald Trump has issued a strong warning [1] to New York Attorney General Letitia James, cautioning her against pursuing legal action against Trump during his upcoming term.
Mike Davis, founder of the Article III Project, made his comments during an appearance on “The Benny Show” podcast on Thursday. Davis’s organization advocates for the confirmation of conservative judges.
“I dare you to try to continue your lawfare against President Trump in his second term,” Davis said, addressing James directly.
He further escalated his remarks, stating, “Listen here, sweetheart. We’re not messing around this time and we will put your fat a– in prison for conspiracy against rights. I promise you that.”
Davis, who has been mentioned as a possible candidate for attorney general or White House counsel under Trump’s incoming administration, advised the New York Attorney General to “think long and hard” before potentially infringing on the president-elect’s constitutional rights or those of other Americans. “It’s not going to happen again,” he added.

This warning follows statements from James, who, a day after Trump’s victory over Kamala Harris, indicated her willingness to take legal action against the new administration. “We will use the rule of law to fight back,” James said, noting that her office had been preparing for several months to counter Trump’s return to the presidency.

James, 66, has a history of legal confrontations with Trump.
Earlier this year, she won a $454 million civil fraud judgment against the president-elect.
She accused Trump of inflating his net worth by billions to obtain more favorable terms for loans and insurance.
Trump, 78, has since appealed the ruling, continuing to challenge James’s legal actions in the courts.
Davis expressed confidence that the Trump administration’s Justice Department would not tolerate what he called “Democrat lawfare” over the next four years.
Speaking to Newsmax, he predicted that the new administration would be aggressive in responding to any perceived misuse of legal authority by James. “I can imagine that the Trump 47 Justice Department is not going to have any patience for this Democrat lawfare over the next four years,” he said.

The former chief counsel for nominations to Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) suggested that James could be violating federal law if she continues to target her “political enemies.” Specifically, he referenced 18 U.S.C. § 241, which deals with “conspiracy against rights.”
Davis argued that such actions could lead to serious legal consequences for the attorney general.
While Davis has been floated as a potential White House counsel under the new administration, he responded humorously to reports linking him to the role.
A Wall Street Journal article mentioned his possible connection to the position, prompting Davis to respond on X, formerly known as Twitter, “No, thank you. I want to serve as the Viceroy.”
