Donald Trump’s recent victory sent shockwaves across American college campuses, triggering an unprecedented wave of emotional “support services” and outbursts, revealing the growing fragility of higher education environments.
Georgetown University responded to the election results by offering students Legos, milk, and cookies—essential tools, apparently, for coping with the “trauma.” Meanwhile, Harvard University canceled classes, allowing students “space to process” the outcome.
Georgetown University’s @McCourtSchool announced that they will be hosting a post-election day “Self-Care Suite” for students to deal with “stressful times” which includes playtime with Legos, milk and cookies, and coloring.

The dramatic reactions went beyond the usual campus coddling, taking an even darker turn out west.
As reported by The Gateway Pundit, one administrator at the University of Oregon, Leonard Serrato, who serves as assistant director of fraternity and sorority life, erupted online in a fiery rant, leaving no doubt about his sentiments.
In a social media post, Serrato let loose, saying, “My anger has set in. I am a very petty person, and I am very proud of that – love it about myself, actually.”
He continued with a seething comment directed at Trump supporters: “I don’t care if you are my family, I don’t care if you’re my friend… You can literally go f*** yourself if you voted for Donald Trump.”
WOW – University of Oregon Assistant Director, Fraternity and Sorority Life Leonard Serrato goes on unhinged tirade and tells Trump voters to commit suicide.

As if that wasn’t enough, Serrato went on to scorn anyone concerned about the economy, advising them to “get a better f**king paying job” and improve their education.
His diatribe concluded with disturbing advice to Trump voters: “Do something because you’re f**king stupid, and I hope you go jump off a f**king bridge.”
Hey, @uoregon do you advocate your employees encouraging people to commit suicide? Maybe you should reconsider this person’s employment.

The University of Oregon quickly responded to the backlash. On Thursday, the school placed Serrato on administrative leave, according to KATU.
University spokesperson Angela Seydel confirmed the action, explaining to The National News Desk (TNND) that Serrato’s post is under investigation within the framework of university policies and his duties as a public employee. Seydel also noted that the university is offering mental and emotional health resources for concerned students and staff while reviewing the matter.

“As a public university, we take our duty seriously to provide an environment that welcomes diversity of thought and respect in alignment with our educational mission,” Seydel told TNND, emphasizing the institution’s commitment to a respectful academic environment, despite Serrato’s explosive comments.
This incident adds to the growing debate over the state of higher education, where emotional support services for election results have become all too common, casting doubt on the resilience—or lack thereof—of today’s college students and staff alike.
