In a recent interview with DailyMail.com, journalist, and host Megyn Kelly outlined her concerns about the future of the United States, regardless of who wins the upcoming presidential election on Tuesday, Nov. 5.

However, Kelly offered a particularly grim outlook if Kamala Harris prevails over former President Donald Trump, painting a picture of what she views as serious challenges under a potential Harris administration.

Vice President Kamala Harris speaks during a rally at Shell Energy Stadium on Friday, Oct. 25, 2024 in Houston, Texas.

Kelly, who hosts The Megyn Kelly Show, voiced doubts about Harris’s approach to the nation’s immigration issues, noting that she expects little change in the handling of the border crisis. “How are we going to stem the flow of illegals into this country?” she questioned, expressing concerns about what she sees as Harris’s lack of interest in addressing the problem.

Kelly argued that Harris has not proposed any measures to address the estimated 10 million undocumented immigrants who have entered the U.S. over the last four years, including those involved in criminal activities. Kelly warned, “That really does fundamentally transform the country into something very dangerous.”

She also raised concerns about Harris’s stance on taxpayer-funded sex reassignment surgeries for inmates, an issue Harris previously supported during her 2020 campaign.

When recently asked about her position on the matter, Harris stated that, as president, she would “follow the law,” which currently permits public funding for such procedures. Kelly predicted that Harris’s policies on transgender issues would lead to an “explosion” of progressive policies.

On economic issues, Kelly expressed doubt that Harris could address inflation and rising costs, which have been a major concern for many Americans. “Our economy is going to remain stalled, and our taxes are going to go up,” she remarked, adding that Harris’s proposals would likely face difficulty in Congress.

Kelly also commented on what she expects from Trump if he loses. “He would take it very poorly,” she predicted, though she believes he would respond with more restraint than in 2020.

She suggested that Trump may claim election fraud but might lack evidence to support the claim, as seen in the previous election cycle.

On the other hand, if Trump wins, Kelly foresees Democrats taking significant steps to challenge his victory, including attempts to bar him from inauguration. “From November 5 to mid-January, [Democrats] will be trying to figure out a way to stop him from actually being sworn in and taking the oath of office,” she stated, predicting legal actions aimed at labeling Trump as an “insurrectionist.”

Looking ahead to a potential Trump administration, Kelly warned of a “nervous breakdown” within the Democratic Party, expecting intensified congressional investigations and a possible third impeachment attempt early in Trump’s second term.

She also anticipated continued comparisons of Trump to notorious figures, saying, “I’m not sure how you can go next-level on Trump. Jeffrey Dahmer? Charles Manson? Let’s see where they take it.”

Kelly expressed disappointment in what she perceives as media bias, especially in coverage of allegations against Harris’s husband, Doug Emhoff. Emhoff faces accusations of misconduct, including alleged infidelity with his former nanny and a separate claim of assault, though he has denied the latter.

According to Kelly, “Thank God for the Daily Mail. [These allegations have] been absolutely ignored by every media outlet and every politician left of center.”

Looking to a possible Trump administration, Kelly said she is excited about the new faces Trump may bring into government, mentioning figures like entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy and former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard. “It’s an interesting panoply of generals he’s bringing in,” she observed.

Kelly noted that Elon Musk has proposed finding “efficiencies in government” to reduce bureaucracy, which she suggested could bring meaningful change to a “bloated” federal system.

As Election Day approaches, Kelly’s outlook reflects a blend of optimism for potential changes under a Trump presidency and deep concerns over the policy direction she expects under Harris, signaling a highly polarized environment for the next four years.
