Kevin Costner, well-known for his roles in conservative favorite “Yellowstone” and classic American films, recently expressed admiration for former Rep. Liz Cheney’s bold criticism of President-elect Donald Trump.
The former congresswoman from Wyoming has called Trump “unstable,” “depraved,” and “cruel”—remarks that Costner believes reflect a dedication to “public service” over personal ambition.

In a town hall event on “The Michael Smerconish Program” on SiriusXM, Costner said he expects government officials to prioritize service over personal gain. “Public service is about public service. It’s not about your career. It’s not about your ego,” he asserted, as reported by Breitbart.

Costner, who has often emphasized wanting his work to be relevant rather than simply popular, expressed pride in Cheney’s stand against Trump. “I found a person completely at odds with one side willing to stand up. We should applaud her. We should protect her.”
Costner went on to describe Cheney’s stance as one aligned with the spirit of America’s Revolutionary War heroes, who fought for principles over personal safety. He stated, “This woman should never be threatened, and neither should anybody that stands up in America. We admire the people of the Revolutionary War who stood up.”
Drawing parallels to the patriotic fight for freedom, he argued that Cheney, despite the sharp backlash, should be safeguarded. “As a man, I can’t—I won’t allow it. We shouldn’t allow that,” he concluded.

Cheney’s recent verbal jabs have certainly not gone unnoticed by Trump himself. The former president took to calling her a “war hawk,” criticizing her foreign policy stance as overly eager for military intervention.
Trump questioned how Cheney would feel if placed directly on the front lines of a conflict she’d advocated for from the comfort of Washington, D.C., rhetorically suggesting, “Let’s put her with a rifle standing there with nine barrels shooting at her. Let’s see how she feels about it.”
CLAIM: Kamala’s campaign implied Trump called for Liz Cheney to be put before a firing squad.
FACT CHECK: False. Trump’s comments on “guns trained on her face” were about Cheney stoking foreign wars without being willing to fight in their front lines. https://t.co/iVUVNIzoh8

Costner’s support for Cheney isn’t new; he endorsed her during her 2022 re-election campaign. Fox News noted that Costner, who previously supported Democrat Pete Buttigieg in the 2020 primaries, proudly shared a photo of himself wearing a T-shirt that read, “I’m for Liz Cheney.”

Concusion: We already knew Cosner to be a libtarded POS of the highest order. He isn’t anywhere near a good guy. He ACTS like one for the camera.
