On Wednesday, conservative podcaster Dave Rubin sparred with progressive commentator David Pakman during a podcast discussion on the participation of biological males identifying as transgender women in women’s sports.
Rubin criticized the trend, advocating for restrictions on male participation in female sports, a topic that has sparked controversy nationwide and has drawn bipartisan attention.
During his appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored, Rubin argued that the issue goes beyond party lines, emphasizing the biological distinctions between men and women.

“There’s something called boys and girls, and they are different,” Rubin said, commenting on the ideological divide.
“What’s happening with the left is that these saviors, these progressive warriors…think that they know more about these people than they know about themselves. By the way, this has nothing to do with a well-funded, evil money machine that the Republicans were doing.”
Pakman then interjected with a sarcastic remark, “Rubin’s the right guy to talk about that, isn’t he?” to which Rubin responded sharply, calling Pakman’s tone “smug” and emphasizing that his concerns were focused on protecting girls in sports.
“Oh God, you’re such a smug prick,” Rubin replied. “Listen, most parents actually want to defend their daughters and don’t want them to have the crap kicked out of them by boys, and they don’t want them to be playing boys in soccer or any of these other things. That is a defense of girls.”
Rubin further clarified that his stance applies specifically to youth sports, arguing that what adults choose to do with their own lives is a different issue. “If someone, as an adult, 18, 21—we can discuss the age—wants to dress how they want, to have any surgeries, take whatever drugs, do whatever they want with their body, most people, even Republicans, don’t object to that,” Rubin stated.
The debate comes amid ongoing concerns from parents and lawmakers about biological males competing in women’s sports, with opposition growing from both sides of the aisle.
Across the U.S., lawmakers have introduced legislation at state and federal levels aimed at preserving women’s sports for biological females.
Many argue that allowing biological males to compete against females creates an uneven playing field, affecting fairness and safety.
Parents, too, have been vocal on the issue. In one recent incident, a group of parents in Bow, New Hampshire, filed a lawsuit against the Bow School District after students were allegedly disciplined for staging a “silent protest” in support of women’s sports.
The protest, held in October, involved students who expressed concerns over the participation of biological males in female sports, sparking debates over free speech and student rights.
The discussion surrounding transgender athletes’ participation has become a focal point for national debate.
Proponents of including transgender women in women’s sports argue for inclusivity, while critics claim that biological males have physical advantages that can compromise fairness for female athletes.
As both political and legal discussions continue, the issue remains a high-profile topic, drawing voices from across the political spectrum.
Rubin’s exchange with Pakman illustrates the growing divide on this issue and highlights the concerns of those advocating for the protection of girls and women’s sports.

Rubin is not a conservative podcaster. Its a classic JFK liberal. He didnt leave the left, the left left him.
