Staten Island residents took to the streets on Friday, November 29, to celebrate the holiday season and show their support for President-elect Donald Trump with a lively and spirited “Trump Dance” flash mob.
Organized by the Staten Island GOP (SIGOP), the event brought together local politicians, community leaders, and Trump supporters for an afternoon of fun, dancing, and unity.
The flash mob was a last-minute addition to the post-Thanksgiving festivities, with SIGOP only posting about it just days before the event.

The call to action was simple: “Shake off your turkey dinner and show off your best moves” at Midland Beach Splaza at 1 PM. Participants were encouraged to join in the nationwide celebration of Trump’s victory and get their “YMCA” on, a nod to the famous Village People hit that has become a staple of celebrations and parties across the country.
Local figures such as artist Scott LoBaido and businessman Joe Tabacco were also set to make appearances at the event, further drawing attention to the fun and lighthearted celebration.

The purpose of the gathering was not only to get people moving but also to show unwavering support for the President-elect and to reaffirm the positive mood many Americans feel following the election.
The event, which showcased the upbeat energy of Trump supporters, was well-received by attendees, many of whom were still basking in the relief and optimism that Trump’s victory brought.
For many, it symbolized a rejection of the more somber, contentious attitude that has dominated much of the political landscape in recent years.
The fun-filled flash mob event highlighted a shift in the Republican Party, as it embraced a more vibrant and energetic persona, contrasting with past perceptions of the GOP as stuffy and out of touch.
For years, the GOP was often seen as the party of elitism and conservatism, but under Trump’s leadership, the party has adopted a more grassroots, energetic vibe that resonates with everyday Americans.
This event, with its relaxed atmosphere and focus on enjoyment, represents a new chapter in the Republican Party’s transformation.
What made the event even more significant was the resurgence of the song “YMCA” by the Village People, which became the soundtrack for the flash mob.
This 1978 hit, known for its catchy tune and signature dance moves, has made a major comeback in recent years.

The song is now being used in celebrations across the country, from sporting events to parties, and has seen a resurgence on music charts, thanks in part to its association with Trump’s victory celebrations.
While Trump did not win New York in the 2024 election, his performance in the state was notably strong.
Preliminary election data indicates that Trump received 43% of the vote in New York, marking the highest percentage for a Republican candidate in the state since 1996.
Trump also made significant gains in New York City, winning nearly a third of the vote and improving his margins in every borough, particularly among Asian-American and Latino voters.
This shift in New York’s political landscape is a clear indicator of Trump’s growing influence in the state.
His appeal to a broader base of voters, including minority communities, is reshaping the Republican Party’s standing in areas once considered strongholds for Democrats.
In contrast to the celebratory and unifying nature of the flash mob, the left has often reacted to election results with protests, violence, and destruction.
Images of cities burning, cars overturned, and clashes with police have marred the post-election atmosphere when Democrats have lost, which stands in stark contrast to the celebratory atmosphere of Trump supporters.
This difference in reaction to election results highlights the stark divide between the two parties: one celebrates with music, dance, and unity, while the other often resorts to chaos and destruction.
The success of the Staten Island “Trump Dance” flash mob is a reflection of the positive, optimistic approach that Trump and his supporters have embraced in the aftermath of the election.
It signals a rejection of the divisive tactics that have characterized much of the political climate in recent years and reaffirms the GOP’s commitment to uplifting the nation with joy and togetherness.

THE BIBLICALLY ABOMINABLE VILLAGE PEOPLE’S YMCA SONG might just have been Trump’s theme song of his first Presidency!
After all, he draped a LGBTQ flag around his shoulders at his first Republican Convention, followed with being the first President to appoint an avowed sodomite (Richard Grenell) to his cabinet – first as his Ambassador to Germany and then as his Acting Director of National Intelligence.
And if you helped elect Trump the first time around, you’re complicit in this and his other biblical abominations while in office, including his swearing allegiance to the biblically seditious Constitution as the law of the land.
And you’re fooling yourself if you think anything’s changed – certainly not regarding the Constitution.
