Trump Confirms Madison Square Garden Rally: ‘We’re Making A Play For New York’ [WATCH]

Donald Trump is set to hold a massive rally [1] at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on October 27, just nine days before Election Day, according to a source speaking to the New York Post [2].

This event is part of the former president’s final efforts to galvanize support ahead of the crucial vote.

The rally will operate on a first-come, first-served basis and marks Trump’s third recent appearance in the New York City area.

In September, Trump drew around 16,000 supporters to a rally in Uniondale, Long Island.

Earlier in the summer, another event in the Bronx’s Crotona Park also saw large crowds turn out to back the Republican candidate.

Madison Square Garden, one of the city’s most iconic venues, has a seating capacity of 19,500 and has been the site of several political events over the years, including five Democratic National Conventions and the Republican National Convention in 2004.

Trump has expressed interest in hosting an event at the Garden for months, saying earlier this year that he believes it would be a fitting location for a major campaign rally.

In a February interview with Fox News, Trump hinted at his plans for the venue, stating, “I think we’ll do one maybe at Madison Square Garden.”

He noted that New York voters’ attitudes toward him have shifted, adding, “People that would have never voted for me because I’m a Republican … I think they’re going to vote for me.”

Trump reiterated his plans in April during comments to reporters in lower Manhattan, where he confirmed that his team was working on securing Madison Square Garden for a large rally.

He described the planned event as an opportunity to honor New York’s first responders, including police officers, firefighters, and teachers.

As the 2024 election draws closer, Trump’s rally at the Garden is expected to draw significant attention.

Trump confirmed his Madison Square Garden rally at his rally in Joe Biden’s hometown of Scranton, saying, “We’re going to make a play for New York.”

With the former president continuing to focus on swing states, his decision to host such a high-profile event in New York—a traditionally Democratic stronghold—demonstrates his confidence in appealing to voters who may have been on the fence in previous elections.

Trump’s team has not yet released details on how attendees can secure tickets for the event, but given the capacity of the venue and Trump’s ability to draw large crowds, the rally is expected to be a major highlight of the campaign’s final stretch.
